1. Introduction

Revelto ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

  • Account information (name, email address, user ID)
  • Profile and health/fitness data (body metrics, fitness goals)
  • Workout data (exercises, sets, reps, weights)
  • Photos (optional, for tracking progress)
    • Profile pictures
    • Session photos and videos
    • Body measurement photos
    • Progress and measurement photos stay private
    • Session media can be published when you make that session public
    • Can be deleted at any time
  • Preferences, follows, blocks, reports, and support requests

Automatically collected information:

  • Device or installation information and identifiers, including notification tokens
  • Usage data (app interactions, features used)
  • Diagnostic data (errors, crashes, and performance)
  • Analytics events associated with your internal account ID after sign-in
  • We do not collect advertising identifiers (GAID/IDFA)

Public profile data (opt-in):

If you enable a public profile, your username, display name, bio, profile picture, fitness goal, aggregate statistics, and sessions marked public become visible according to the visibility you choose. A public session can include photos or videos you attached to it.

Enabling a public profile and publishing each session are optional and can be changed in the App. A link or media item already received by someone else can be reshared; delete the media or session to make Revelto stop serving it.

Moderation data:

When you report a profile, we collect the reporter ID, reported-profile ID, reason, and date. Revelto and its hosting and email providers process this data to review the report, prevent abuse, and enforce community standards.

Imported workouts:

You can import your history from another app's CSV export (Hevy, Strong). You pick the file yourself; it is read on your phone, never sent to Revelto, and its temporary copy is deleted once read. The workouts in it (dates, names, exercises, sets, notes) are converted on the phone, then saved to your account as private workouts and synced like the ones you log. Because they can reveal information about your health, importing asks for your explicit consent. Their contents are not used for usage analytics or in technical logs. You can edit or delete them like any other workout.

2.1 Camera and Photo Access

The App requests camera permission for the following purposes:

  • Taking profile pictures
  • Capturing workout progress photos
  • Documenting body measurements over time

Camera and photo-library access are optional. Progress and body measurement photos are not published. Your profile picture is visible according to your profile visibility. Photos or videos attached to a session become visible to people who can view that session when you mark it public or share it. Our storage providers process media to provide these features.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our services
  • Personalize your experience
  • Track your fitness progress
  • Send notifications and updates
  • Improve the App's functionality
  • Analyze usage patterns
  • Prevent fraud and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Enable and operate optional social features (public profiles, session sharing, template sharing)
  • Process moderation reports and enforce community standards

3.1 Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide core app features such as account management, workout tracking, data synchronization, and subscription access.
  • Consent: for optional features such as photo uploads and optional notifications (you can disable notifications anytime in your device settings).
  • Legitimate interests: to ensure app security, prevent fraud or abuse, and improve performance and reliability.
  • Legal obligations: to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or lawful requests from authorities.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Your data is stored securely on our servers
  • We implement industry-standard security measures
  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We regularly review and update our security practices
  • However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers:

  • Hosting, account, media, notification, analytics, security, and diagnostic providers
  • A third-party identity provider when you choose that sign-in method
  • Your app store and our purchase-validation provider

Legal Requirements:

  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect our rights and safety
  • In connection with a business transaction (merger, acquisition)

Advertising:

We do not display advertisements in the App and do not share your data with advertising networks.

Public Profiles (opt-in):

Public-profile data and sessions you mark public can be viewed or reshared. A public session can include photos or videos you attached to it. Progress and body measurement photos are never published through this feature. Do not publish media you want to keep private.

6. Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services:

  • Hosting and account services: To store account data and media and provide online features
  • Identity provider: When you choose third-party account sign-in
  • Analytics, diagnostics, security, and notification providers: To measure interactions, diagnose crashes and performance, prevent abuse, and send notifications
  • App store and purchase-validation provider: To process and validate purchases, retain limited transaction history, and synchronize Pro entitlements

After sign-in, analytics and diagnostic services receive your internal account ID. This data is pseudonymous, not anonymous; we do not use your name, email, or an advertising identifier as the analytics user ID.

Each provider applies its own privacy policy and retention periods.

Subscription and Payment Information

Revelto Pro purchases are processed by your app store and their status is managed through a purchase-validation provider. We do not collect or store your full payment details. Revelto and these providers process your app user ID and limited purchase information (product, store, status, dates, and technical transaction identifiers) to validate purchases, restore access, and provide Pro features. Deleting your Revelto account does not cancel a recurring subscription; cancel it in your store-account settings to prevent a future renewal.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and data
  • Export workout history and body measurements as CSV in the App
  • Opt-out of marketing communications
  • Withdraw consent at any time

8. Data Retention

We keep account data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When a deletion request is accepted, you are signed out and processing begins. Public content is removed during the process, which we aim to complete within 30 days.

We may retain a minimal record confirming the request and its completion for evidence and monitoring. Purchase data held by the store and analytics, crash, and performance events already received follow each provider's retention periods and legal obligations. Public Profiles and User-Generated Content

(a) Entirely voluntary: Enabling a public profile and publishing each session are optional. You can change these choices in the App.

(b) Accessible content: Published content (bio, display name, sessions, and any session media) is visible according to profile visibility and can be reshared by recipients.

(c) Moderation: We reserve the right to hide or remove any public content that violates our Community Standards, without prior notice.

(d) Reporting and blocking: Users can report a profile and block another user. Blocking hides profiles and content and prevents follows and interactions between both accounts; the blocked user is not notified.

9. Children's Privacy

Revelto is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your personal data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. When data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

12. European Users (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights under GDPR, including:

  • Right to access
  • Right to rectification
  • Right to erasure
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to object to processing

Website Data

Our website does not use analytics or tracking cookies. We do not collect personal data through the website outside of information you voluntarily provide (such as contacting us by email).

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date.
